Gallery Wall for Cheaters

I have always loved the look and concept of gallery walls, but have lacked the motivation and "expertise" needed to put one together.  Here's my "cheater" version of a gallery wall in our dining room....(don't mind the ceiling, it had some cracks and now needs to be repainted!)...


Super simple!  The hardest part is making sure the shelves are straight :)  Just arrange your pictures any way you want.  Our shelves and frames are all from IKEA, the Ribba line.  Bonus:  soooo easy to rearrange or change out a picture! 


I still want to create a real gallery wall in my living room, but for the dining room, this is doing the trick!

    Looks fabulous. I have to ask you what the color of the shelves and frame are? I have everything set up in black frames, my wall is the same color as yours. I'm unsure how it will look. Did you use black or brown? Thanks.

    We have those same shelves from Ikea-except mine sat in the basement for 3 years because I was "going" to paint them brown to go with our woodwork. . . until hubs finally gave up and did it for me :) Not a bad plan actually. Love how you have frames that are all black to draw things together.

    I love this, and I don't think it's cheating at all. It's got such a nice, clean look. I've been wanting to do this for so long, and now that I see how awesome it looks in your house, I REALLY want to do it now.
