My hubby added some casters he had found, and turned the crate into a cute little table on wheels!
So, this space that needed a table earlier this summer....
now has one! (And I'm loving that it can be moved super easily for when I get the urge to rearrange!)
Gotta love old stuff that can be turned into something new!

That's great! I almost hit the yard sales yesterday but was too busy with some cake orders! : ( But guess what?? I had to run to the dentist the other day from a different part of town and drove right past your house! I saw your swing out front and just knew I had finally figured out where you live!

Way cool! Maybe it was an old military locker box? My husband has a similar one in our garage but his isn't as old or as cool! Love the casters.

I just came across your site from another blog, so my first visit here. I'm pretty sure this is a military trunk that was rationed to a WW2 veteran. My Dad had one almost identical to it in our attic while growing up and it was his from WW2. Your's is very cool with the wheels on it now. I had bought one of the trunks from my parents attic about 19 years ago and painted it to be a toy chest when my daughter was born and had used a newel post ball for each of it's corners to lift it up. It's been sitting in our basement with the same baby pink/green/blue and yellow paint now for many years and you've just inspired me to give it a new lease on life. I have some rusty industrial casters and/or wheels that would be fabulous on mine. Thanks for the inspiration... Along with a paint job covering up that outdated paint I have currently on mine, I know it could be fabulous like yours is. :) Great Job...

LOL I just painted the same kind of old chest white, put casters on it and I'm also using it as a table! I think yours is an old army trunk, mine is an old tool chest.
