If you've read some of my previous posts, you know that things have slowed down quite a bit with Ethiopian adoptions. When we were first DTE, our expected wait time for a referral was 10-16 months. Now it has been extended to 14-18 months. Frustrating, yes, but trusting in the Lord's timing!
We are in an online group with other families from our agency, and there is an "unofficial wait list" kept up to date, so we know (again, very unofficially) how many people are ahead of us, etc. Because of the range of our request, we are listed in a few categories. I plan on updating these each month so you can follow the numbers along with us!
As of today, 3/2/12, we are....
#69 for an Infant Boy
#33 for Twins/Young (<4) Siblings
#22 for a Toddler Boy
Because our lowest number is for a toddler boy, this is the number I keep track of the most. When we were newly DTE, we were actually #19 for a toddler boy. Because of others ahead of us expanding their age requests, we have drifted back several spots. Again, frustrating, yes. But we know God is using these numbers going up and down to match up lots of wonderful kids with their forever families!!

Hi, Angie! Thanks for stopping by my blog this weekend.
My best friend is a nanny for 3 little girls-- the youngest was adopted from Ethiopia almost 3 years ago when she was 9 months old. She's had such an amazing journey.
Hang in there-- everything will work out in the end!
